Swale Borough Council – Top Up Grant Application Form


Swale has committed to provide additional funding to businesses whose regular monthly fixed costs are in excess of the grant funding that has been provided for the restrictions implemented from the start of the national lockdown on 05 November.


The criteria is as follows (to qualify, your business must meet all of the following):*

The basic idea of the grant is simple - financial support for businesses forced to close or significantly impacted by the national restrictions that have not received sufficient funding to cover their regular fixed monthly costs.


IMPORTANT – You are only eligible to apply for a grant if you have already successfully applied for one (or more) of the following grant schemes:

  1. The Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed)
  2. The Additional Restrictions Support Grant
  3. The Local Restrictions Support Grant (Open)

We will only pay a top up grant for the time period(s) for which you have already successfully been awarded a grant from one or more of the above schemes.

These grants are calculated based on the rateable values for commercial properties and/or the regular fixed costs incurred by a business (excluding any staff related costs). Please indicate what your monthly fixed costs total: *

Your grant will be calculated based on your regular fixed costs so try to evidence as much as possible in order to maximise your grant eligibility. For annual payments, you can upload evidence from when the payment was made.*

We will use the information provided on this form plus our records of the grants paid to your business to calculate the level of any Top Up Grant that will be offered.
